The business of not giving up Every company eventually suffers hardship. Whether it's a lost customer, cash-flow worries, production problems, or staff disputes, your business will have its bad days. The key is how you react. Are you a sad sack and a complainer, or do you maintain a positive, "can do" attitude? To maintain perspective in times of trouble, ask yourself, "What's the worst that can happen as a result of this problem?" Isolated problems are rarely devastating to a business, but when they are repeated or cumulative, the results can be disastrous. The best response is to take decisive action. First identify what went wrong, then develop a plan to correct the situation for the future. Don't let the blows of adversity crush you. Be determined to learn from challenging circumstances and improve your business for the long haul. If you are slack in the day of distress, your strength is limited (Proverbs 24:10). Scripture: [We are] struck down but not destroyed (2 Corinthians 4:8-9).
