The business of informed employees

Informed employees are usually more effective. When you share important and appropriate information with your staff, they will better understand how their jobs fit into the scope of the business and how their individual efforts can contribute to improving the quality of your products and services.

Consider Jesus' example of open and forthright communication. Develop a habit of sharing your knowledge every day. Make a list of important topics to cover, and then create a consistent flow of good communication regarding your business each day.

Another great thing about communication is that it's a two-way street. As you open up with your employees, they will open up with you and all kinds of great ideas will surface. Over time, you will be amazed by the improvement in staff performance as each person becomes more involved in the success of your business.

Scripture: No longer do I call you slaves; for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you (John 15:15).
